About AVA Ireland
|
  |
Hello
and welcome to the new AVA website! The Association
of Virtual Assistants of Ireland (AVA)
was founded to promote the Virtual Assistant (VA)
industry within Ireland. The Virtual Assistant is
a relatively new recent concept in Ireland and we
currently have a small member base of which we hope
to expand. Although no conclusive Irish research has
been conducted on this industry, current market trends
indicate that this is a rapidly expanding sector.
Our
website is intended for businesses or individuals
who require a professional Virtual Assistant who is
skilled in the administrative or multimedia service
that they require. All AVA members are highly experienced
office & IT professionals. A high standard of
work and client confidentiality are priorities at
all times. If you are a business or individual who
requires the services of a VA, submit your Request
for Proposal (RFP) to AVA Ireland.
RFP’s are circulated to all AVA members for
consideration.

What is a Virtual Assistant (VA)? |
A virtual assistant is an individual entrepreneur who
provides business services, typically administrative,
technical or multimedia to other businesses through
the medium of the Internet. The business is conducted
in a virtual environment through the Internet, phone,
email, messaging, etc. A VA usually works from home,
is self-employed and provides all the office equipment
needed. Projects are outsourced by companies or individuals
to a VA, usually via e-mail. When completed, the project
is sent back to the client. For a broader explanation
of what a VA is, click
here. The benefits to the client are many, of which
are outlined below.
|
What are the benefits of using this service? |
•
As
a client, you pay only for the number of hours that
your VA has taken to complete your project.
•
No
office equipment is needed as your VA will be working
from his or her own premises.
•
You
will not have to spend time calculating PAYE or PRSI.
•
The
employer will not have to arrange cover for holidays
or sick leave.
•
No
extra staff to organise and train when short-staffed.
•
As
VA's are self employed, the headache of employment
legislation ..is now
non-existent!
